Sabbath School Toolbox magazine promises “cool tools for your adult Sabbath School.” This unique resource digest is designed to inspire and equip adult Sabbath School workers with a wholistic view of Sabbath School. Each issue has articles on the four purposes of Sabbath School (World Mission Emphasis, Fellowship, Community Outreach, and Study of the Word). The two features tied directly to each quarter’s lesson content are Study Guide Highlights/Focus on Fundamental Beliefs and Hot-button Issues. Other regular features are Sabbath School Ideas, Teacher Enhancement, Q and A, Ellen G. White on Sabbath School, and Snapshots of SDA History. In addition, five complete adult Sabbath School programs are provided, accompanied by a Program Overview that also includes extra ideas on how to present Sabbath School programs.
Sabbath School Toolbox’s editor is Elder James W. Zackrison, a pioneer in Sabbath School ministries, who was for many years director of the Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department of the General Conference. It also benefits from the input of Elder J. Alfred Johnson II, the current director of the North American Division’s Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department.
The magazine consists of 36 pages and is the same convenient size as the Adult Sabbath School Bible Study Guide.
Sabbath School Toolbox is a must-have for leaders who want to challenge and encourage their Sabbath School class members to fulfill the complete mission objectives of Sabbath School. It costs $37.76 yearly (four issues).
